Its arrival represents a violation of fundamental principles of international law, the Bolivarian diplomacy stated.
On Wednesday, the Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Ministry rejected the presence of the One Guyana Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel in the maritime zone of the Essequibo region, which remains undelimited.

Venezuela Unveils Guyana’s False Flag Plan
The FPSO One Guyana is the largest floating production vessel that ExxonMobil and its partners intend to use to exploit the Yellowtail and Redtail fields, which are estimated to hold 11 billion barrels. This vessel has the capacity to produce up to 263,000 barrels of oil per day, process 450 million cubic feet of gas per day, and store 2 million barrels.
Below is the full statement issued by the Venezuelan diplomatic authorities.
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the arrival and eventual operation of the FPSO One Guyana vessel in the so-called Stabroek Block, as this constitutes an illegal action in a maritime area that remains to be delimited, where Venezuela holds historical and legitimate rights.
This maneuver, driven by the Government of Guyana in partnership with ExxonMobil, represents a violation of fundamental principles of international law, which require refraining from adopting unilateral measures in areas without agreed delimitation.
By persisting in this conduct, Guyana shows blatant disregard for international legality and for the commitments made in the 2023 Argyle Agreement, recklessly putting regional peace and stability at risk.
Venezuela does not recognize any concession granted in said area and warns the companies involved that they may be subject to legal action and that no rights over the illicitly exploited resources will be recognized.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to peace but will firmly defend its sovereign rights and will not accept provocations or faits accomplis.”
